The Divine Elves

The Divine Elves are an ancient and enigmatic race of gay elves known for their connection to both celestial and natural powers. They are all men, hailing from different elven bloodlines, summoned to the hidden valley of Imladomel, known in common tongues as Autumnwood, drawn by their desire and love for those of their own.

Legends say that they were chosen by the heavens themselves to be guardians of the divine balance between the magic of the cosmos, and the magic of nature, thus granting them their title as divine.

The Genesis of the Divine Elves

Long ago, the world was a world shrouded in chaos. The balance between the powers of earth and the stars was fragile and chaotic. The gods, seeing the impending disaster, decided to intervene. They summoned the first Divine Elf, a being named Tar Ranas from the very essence of the stars. Tar Ranas was tasked with bringing harmony to the world.

Guided by the divine, Tar Ranas ventured into a hidden valley deep within the frontiers of the world, away from all the great chaos, and there created a temple of harmony, summoning men of the elven race to him, and dividing their powers into two great houses, the High house, and the Wild house, to advocate for the powers of the cosmos and nature. With his wife, Ranewyn he bore a son, Tar Garnburg, who would one day succeed him as king.

But the brother if Ranewyn, and Tar Ranas’s friend, Randiel, coveted the divine throne, and tried to usurp it from his brother-in-law by attempting to murder his family.

In his bloodlust, he murdered the lovely Ranewyn, his own sister, before he was defeated and slain by Tar Ranas.

From that day Tar Ranas decreed that only men of the elven race would enter the valley, and swear themselves to never wed women or bare children, as the power of the valley was too tempting for the lines of kings to exploit. Since that day, gay men have been welcomed to serve the divine cause, so they may fulfill their vows with love for one another.

The Duality

This creation of duality, became known as the Divine Accord, and to help mediate and maintain the balance between. A council was formed of the wisest and most powerful of elven men.

The Divine Elves Council became the keepers of the Divine Accord, entrusted with the task of maintaining balance and peace in the world. The Divine Elves built a majestic city in the valley and named it Imladomel. Here, they shared knowledge, culture, and innovations, and it became a beacon of unity and enlightenment.

House of High Elves

The High Elves are advocates of the cosmos, and have celestial magic. They represent the will of progress, exploring the frontiers of knowledge and magic through their cosmic energies. At times their passion for progress can become overwhelming, and lead to dangerous experiments that imperil the balance.

House of Wild Elves

The Wild Elves, by contrast, are advocates of nature, and Mother Earth, their powers come from the elements. They represent the will of preservation, using wisdom and tradition to maintain and preserve the balance of nature. Their zeal to protect the balance can become too strong, to where in their over-caution, they sometimes impede progress when it is needed most.
